About
Northwest Community Park is located north of Panther Creek Parkway along Teel Parkway near the PGA of America headquarters and golf courses. Acres of restored and enhanced Blackland Prairie are a refuge for wildlife and an immersive retreat for visitors. Miles of trails for hikers, runners, and cyclists weave through the site, connecting playgrounds, splash pads, plazas, and gardens. Richly integrated interpretive and educational features inspire and inform the park’s visitors about the rare and rapidly-disappearing Blackland Prairie, the foundation and centerpiece of the 122-acre site. Open 30 minutes before sunrise. Closes 30 minutes after sunset.
